First you refactor:

It should be noted that no ethically-trained software engineer would ever consent to write a DestroyBaghdad procedure. Basic professional ethics would instead require him to write a DestroyCity procedure, to which Baghdad could be given as a parameter.

Should array indices start at 0 or 1? My compromise of 0.5 was rejected without, I thought, proper consideration.

Deana suggests that this is what we should call people who spend too much time in front of a computer.

Way better than the alternatives which, in my experience, have tended to include variations on the “big fat loser” theme.

post Marzipan – ask your doctor!

Did you ever notice how much “marzipan” sounds like the brand name for an antidepressant?

I used to cut myself, but now that I’m on Marzipan* I can direct my anger where it belongs… at others.
